In a blog post that has now been published by many international media organisations, in an apparent well-coordinated public relations effort, Binance Chief Executive Officer Richard Teng made false allegations of bribery against unidentified Nigerian government officials who he claimed demanded $150m in cryptocurrency payments to resolve the ongoing criminal investigation against the company.  This claim by Binance CEO lacks any iota of substance. It is nothing but a diversionary tactic and an attempted act of blackmail by a company desperate to obfuscate the grievous criminal charges it is facing in Nigeria. Emir of Kano orders release of abducted teenager                               According to The Nation newspaper,the Emir of Kano,Malam Sanusi Lamido II has ordered the Sharia Commission in the state to liaise with office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police,zone 1 to immediately commence process of returning the a 14 year old teenage girl,Ese Oruru,who was allegedly abducted in Bayelsa state.Eso was allegedly kidnapped by one Yunusa in Opolo,Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State,in August2015.He reportedly renamed her Aishat on arriving Kano state.The Minister of Women Affairs,Hajia Aishat Al-Hassan has condemned the abduction and forced child marriage of a 13 year old but now 14 year old.The Minister and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress {APC} made this known on twitter handle today monday.She tweeted ''Our laws are very clear on the case.Ese Oruru is 14 and as such cannot consent to marriage.Any such union she's in is illegal.I have been in touch with police authorities in Kano over Ese's immediate release to her parents and we are making progress.I can assure you that i will use all my powers and influence as a Minister and woman to secure the release and return of Ese  Oruru.Ese is still a child under our laws,and her right to freedom of movement is subject to parental control.She mus be returned.Child Rights Act says no person under 18 is capable of contracting a valid marriage,and a marriage so contracted is null and void.The Act also clearly states that anyone who marries a child is liable to a fine of N500,000 or 5 years imprisonment or both.No culture,religion or personal conviction supersedes the laws of the federal Republic of Nigeria.Ese Oruru must return home.My ministry is on this case and we will ensure full prosecution of anyone who is found to have contravened the law.I assure you all that Ese Oruru will be released & reunited with her parents without further delay.All hands are on deck for this''.One more photo below.                                                                                                                                                             BREAKING! Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
