 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.     Governor Samuel Ortom has stated that those conniving with enemies of the state to execute clandestine agenda will always be put to shame.
He spoke today at Chihichan, Mbakume in Gwer-East local government area during the burial of late David Upuu, elder brother to the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Internal Affairs, Mr. Boniface Nyaakor.
According to him, those plotting evil against his administration would always come behind, stressing that prayers from the church had helped in saving democracy from its enemies in the state.
The Governor stated that attacks on Benue communities by militia herdsmen had only subsided due to the presence of Operation Whirl Stroke, noting that some security agents were killed recently by the marauders.
He revealed that from January to August 2018, close to 50 security operatives had fallen prey to activities of militia herdsmen.
While condoling the bereaved family over the unfortunate incidence, Governor Ortom prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Internal Affairs, Mr. Boniface Nyaakor on behalf of the family, expressed appreciation to Governor Ortom for standing by them in their time of grief.
In a funeral mass, Reverend Fr. Peter Pareghve charged Christians to prepare for the day of judgment, describing death as inevitable.More photos below.
