  A 23-year-old Nigerian woman identified as Osarugbe, has died in Libya. African beauty products   She passed away at about 11:33am on Friday, April 4, 2025 after battling illness.    Anti-human trafficking advocate, Yakubu Oyiza and her team had been raising money to bring her back to Nigeria for better medical treatment as hospitals in Libya rejected her.    According to Oyiza, documents for burial, autopsy, and land to bury her in Libya have been arranged, all costing approximately 350,000.   She alleged that the family abandoned her since she fell sick and had earlier refused to go to Kano and pick her up the day she was supposed to be brought back to Nigeria.    In a Facebook post on Saturday, April 5, Oyiza revealed that some family members of the deceased called them asking for Osas’ properties. GOVERNOR ABDULLAHI SULE CHARGES PEOPLE OF UDEGE CHIEFDOM TO FISH OUT CRIMINALS FROM AMONGST THEM
“We believe there are criminal elements amongst the people of this area and we must fish them out”
This is the charge from Governor Abdullahi Sule to key stakeholders when he paid a fact finding visit to the palace of the Osu Ajiri, Halilu Bala Usman the traditional ruler of Udege Chiefdom of Nasarawa State on Sunday.
The visit follows the killing of Mr. Amos Ewa Obere, the monarch of Odu in Nasarawa Local Government Area.
Governor Sule who restates that security of lives of the citizens is a priority of his administration insists
criminals must not be allowed to truncate the peace and economic activities in our communities.
He expresses worry at the resurgence of insecurity in the area that was peaceful only months ago. He admonished youths in the area to shun crime.
The Osu Ajiri on his part commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for beefing up security in the area as well as the on going construction of mararaba Udege - Udege Mbeki road.
He however wants the speedy appointment of more district heads in the area for ease of administration and improved security.
Governor Sule accompanied by former governor and Senator representing the area Abdullahi Adamu and other government officials later paid a condolence visit to the palace of the late traditional ruler of Odu.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
