 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. GOVERNOR ABDULLAHI SULE CHARGES PEOPLE OF UDEGE CHIEFDOM TO FISH OUT CRIMINALS FROM AMONGST THEM
“We believe there are criminal elements amongst the people of this area and we must fish them out”
This is the charge from Governor Abdullahi Sule to key stakeholders when he paid a fact finding visit to the palace of the Osu Ajiri, Halilu Bala Usman the traditional ruler of Udege Chiefdom of Nasarawa State on Sunday.
The visit follows the killing of Mr. Amos Ewa Obere, the monarch of Odu in Nasarawa Local Government Area.
Governor Sule who restates that security of lives of the citizens is a priority of his administration insists
criminals must not be allowed to truncate the peace and economic activities in our communities.
He expresses worry at the resurgence of insecurity in the area that was peaceful only months ago. He admonished youths in the area to shun crime.
The Osu Ajiri on his part commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for beefing up security in the area as well as the on going construction of mararaba Udege - Udege Mbeki road.
He however wants the speedy appointment of more district heads in the area for ease of administration and improved security.
Governor Sule accompanied by former governor and Senator representing the area Abdullahi Adamu and other government officials later paid a condolence visit to the palace of the late traditional ruler of Odu.
