TROOPS OF OPERATION FANSAN YAMMA RESCUE KIDNAP VICTIMS, FOIL TERRORIST MISSION, RECOVER WEAPONS AND AMMUNITION Troops of Sector 2, Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA (JTF NW OPFY), have recorded another  operational success, rescuing three kidnapped victims and foiling a terrorist mission during separate operations in Zamfara and Sokoto States. The operations, conducted as part of sustained efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and enhance security across the North West, resulted in the recovery of a high-calibre weapon, ammunition, motorcycles, military accoutrements, and other operational items. On 22 June 2026, troops on routine offensive patrol at Bagega in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State rescued three female kidnap victims who were abandoned by the terrorists as a result of sustained military pressure. THE DEATH OF ADETOUN ADEDIRAN CAME TO ME AS A RUDE SHOCK- GBAJABIAMILA.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

The death of Hon. Adetoun Adediran came to me as a rude shock. She was my political associate, the first elected female Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly (LSHA 1999-2003); a one time All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State and Lagos Central Woman Leader and until her death, a Governing Board Member of Michael Otedola College of Education (MOCPED), Epe, Lagos State and a Senior Legislative Adviser in the office of the Speaker, House of Representatives. 


Her death came as a shock because we were together a few days ago during the commissioning of projects in Surulere 1 Federal Constituency, where she gave a supporting hand during the ceremony. 


Her death would create a void in the party as she was a very committed party woman, her wise counsel and active participation in party activities would be greatly missed.


I pray for the repose of her soul. I encourage her family, associates, Surulere Constituents, APC and Lagos State Government to take solace in the knowledge that she lived a fulfilled and impactful life before her demise.
