 EFCC Arrests Suspected Fraudster Buying  Bank Accounts Details for Fraud Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  have arrested one Olawole Sunday, a suspected fraudster who specialised in buying bank accounts’ details from individuals with which he defrauds unsuspecting members of the public. Sunday's modus operandi involved encouraging young people to open multiple bank accounts, pay them either N25,000 or N50,000 for each account and collect their bank details including Automated Teller Machine,  ATM cards.  Sunday allegedly employed the account details of one Uyi Godstime Eghosa to defraud a petitioner the sum of N2 million under the guise of trading in forex.  The account owner,  Eghosa was arrested and his disclosure that he was unaware that his account was used in defrauding members of the public, led to Sunday’s arrest.    Eghosa explained that he relinquished his account detai...

Two plots of land not enough for me and my cars — Pastor Ibiyeomie

Founder, Salvation Ministries, Port Harcourt, Pastor David Ibiyeomie has said no two plots of land given to him anywhere in the world is enough for him and his fleets of cars and others.

I made my first $1,000,000 in 2012 when I had no house, I won’t be talking about house now, I have landed properties that I don’t even know about, there is nowhere in the world where you give me 2 plots of land that I will use, I can’t use 2 plots because it isn’t enough for me.

Even in the Riverine area where my parents came from, two plots isn’t enough for me, where will I park my cars, talk less of my entourages, riverine lands are very expensive, the lands are not even available yet two plots isn’t enough for me anywhere in the world, what will I do with two plots?,” he said.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
