Ban On Touting: Anambra Youth Volunteers Commend Gov. Soludo, To Help Government Implement New Order
The Anambra Youth Volunteers has commended the governor of Anambra state, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo on the ban on touting and other criminal activities in the state.
The group made the commendation today Tuesday, 22nd March, 2022 at Upper Iweka, Onitsha.
Addressing the media, the leader, Anambra Youth Volunteers, Maazi Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu eulogized governor Soludo and his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim for the proactive measures they have already put in place to entrench law and order for a more stable and fertile Anambra.
The group declared their resolve to assist the state government and security agencies in checking the ugly menace on the basis of "youth to youth approach" and admonished youths engaging in touting and other unlawful activities in Anambra state to desist forthwith, as they shall not spare any hoodlum terrorizing Ndi Anambra under any guise.
Maazi Okpalaezeukwu said that they are motivated by the mobile courts already put in place by governor Soludo's administration to ensure that arrested suspects are expeditiously prosecuted and brought to justice.
The group also congratulated the new appointees of the Soludo administration and prayed God to give the new administration the wisdom and grace to excel beyond expectations, even as they commended the giant strides of the immediate past administration in the state.
Also speaking, a member of the group, Engineer Ifeanyi Ezedinachi, who said that the group have their members in all the twenty-one local government areas of Anambra state, maintained that they will help the government to implement the order and restore sanity in Anambra state.
The legal adviser of the group, Barr. Chijioke Ifediora, among others were also present during the briefing.
