 Guinea-Bissau stops vaccine study funded by Trump administration Guinea-Bissau's foreign minister has said his government has stopped a study funded by the Trump administration aiming to evaluate side effects of the life-saving hepatitis B vaccine, including any links to autism. The West African country, one of the region's poorest, has high rates of hepatitis B, and the prospective study had drawn an outcry from scientists and international health bodies because only half the newborns in the trial would get the vaccine at birth. World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus said it was not ethical. Guinea-Bissau last month suspended the trial pending an ethical review. Critics had said it was being used to test theories linking vaccines to autism, long promoted by U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr but contradicted by scientific evidence. A MAN KLLED HIS BROTHER WITH RAT POISON OVER A PIECE OF LAND IN ANAMBRA STATE. (PHOTOS).

A young Nigerian man, Kosarachukwu Ugwuka, has openly confessed to the killing of his elder brother over a piece of land in Nnewi, Anambra state.

Ugwuka, who was made to confess before a popular shrine at Nando in Anambra East Local Government Area on Sunday, July 10, admitted to being responsible for his brother’s mysterious death at Akala village in Anambra state.

A family narrated thus: “But when both of them were repeatedly interrogated, the nephew maintained that he is innocent, while Ugwuka continued to accuse him, and also continued to deny that he himself did not have any hand in the death.

“As a result, the villagers had to resort to using traditional means to unravel the truth. They have to take them to a popular shrine at Nando last Sunday, to swear before the deity, to prove their innocence.

“After his nephew had sworn and was vindicated, Ugwuka was hooked and instantly blinded by the deity while swearing, which made him to start confessing immediately. It was during the confession that he revealed that he killed his elder with rat poison because of land dispute.”.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
