 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. PEOPLE OF NIBO DONATES TEN PLOTS OF LAND TO FG.(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE.


The people of Nibo in Awka South Local Government Area have donated ten plots of land to the Federal Government for the establishment of cultural industry in the state.

Speaking with the community leadership, the Anambra State Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Comrade Don Onyenji commended Nibo Community for their love for the country and state by donating such land to the government.

The Commissioner explained that Governor Chukwuma Soludo wants to develop Anambra into mega liveable city so that whoever that enters the state will not be in a hast to leave, adding that the state is relating with the federal government for quick commencement of the project.

While informing them that the cultural industry when completed would attract tourist thereby generating revenue for the state, Comrade Onyenji added that the project would provide job opportunities for Ndi Anambra and attract more investors into the state.

Welcoming the Commissioner and his entourage, the President General of Nibo, Professor Anthony Nwokoye expressed satisfaction that such a federal project would be cited in their community and promised to donate more lands to the state government for more meaningful ventures.

He assured his people that such project will attract lots of developments, jobs and firms to their community.
