 NAF GETS FIRST-EVER SERVING PROFESSOR, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO R&D AND ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE In a landmark achievement for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and a major boost to its research and development (R&D) endeavours, the Governing Council of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), has approved the appointment of Air Vice Marshal Osichinaka Chiedu Ubadike as Professor of Aerospace Engineering. This makes him the first-ever serving officer in the NAF to be conferred the rank of Professor. Air Vice Marshal Ubadike, an accomplished scholar and military professional, holds a PhD and Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and Aerospace Vehicle Design from the esteemed Cranfield University in the United Kingdom. He also possesses 3 other Masters degrees from Ahmadu Bello University and Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), with a First-Class Bachelor of Electrical Electronics Engineering degree from NDA. WOMEN AFFAIRS COMMISSIONER, OBINABO, SEALS FIAT MISSIONARIES COMMUNITY CHILDREN'S HOME IN NKWELLE

Anambra State Women and Social Welfare Commissioner, Hon. Ify. Obinabo has sealed off Fiat Missionaries Community Children's Home Nkwelle for not complying with the provisions of the law in running an orphanage home.


This she did after a tip off from a whistle blower notifying the ministry that the operator of the home has opened a new branch without due registration and authorization 


On getting to Fiat Missionaries Community Children's Home Nkwelle, the women and social welfare boss also discovered that the mode of operations in the home was substandard.


Speaking immediately after sealing the home, Hon. Obinabo through her Senior Social Welfare Officer, Mr Obiora Onunkwo stated that more homes will be closed in coming months if community home operators fail to comply with the provisions of the law in running orphanage homes. 


He noted that the aim is to send a strong warning to defaulters to desist forthwith or face the consequences of their actions. 


The sealed home is a branch of Fiat Missionaries Community Children's Home Onitsha.


Mr. Ilo Favour Udochukwu, Executive Assistant to Mr. Governor on Women and Social Welfare; Mr. Chukwuma and some security operatives were among the team that sealed off the home.
