 I’ll never support Peter Obi's presidential ambition - Seyi Law Popular stand-up comedian, Oluwaseyitan Lawrence Aletile, also known as Seyi Law has vowed never to support the presidential ambition of former Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi.   In an interview on Tejubabyface show, Seyi Law attributed his reasons to Obi's failure to call the Obidient movement to order, particularly after its supporters allegedly attacked his wife and children due to his support for President Bola Tinubu. Seyi Law expressed deep resentment, stating that the attack on his family crossed a boundary that makes forgiveness impossible.  He emphasised that Peter Obi's refusal to admit and reprimand the Obidients for their actions solidifies his decision.  Seyi Law said: “I don’t feel down at all because when you talk too much, I swear for you. INTERNAL SECURITY: Ag. IGP EGBETOKUN MEETS NSA, PROMISES IMPROVED SYNERGY AMONGST SECURITY INSTITUTIONS


The Acting Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, on Tuesday 11th July, 2023, paid a courtesy visit on the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, at the Office of the National Security Adviser, Three Arms Zone, Abuja to consolidate on the gains recorded so far in the internal security architecture of the nation. The IGP was accompanied by the DIG Operations, Adeleke Adeyinka Bode, mni; DIG Training and Development, Bala Ciroma; AIG Force Intelligence Bureau, Abdulyari Lafia; the Force Secretary, AIG Habu Sani; the Director, National Cyber Crime Centre, DCP Uche Ifeanyi; and the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

In his address, the NSA expressed pleasure at the improvement the Acting IGP has made towards sanitizing and repositioning the policing system in Nigeria; that the IGP put the right foot forward from inception. He however urged the Ag. IGP to prioritize improved synergy with other security agencies in order to achieve the goal of the present administration while pledging his full support for the attainment of better policing and enhanced security for all and sundry in Nigeria.

The Acting IGP congratulated the NSA on his well-deserved appointment acknowledging his assurance to ensure national security stability and growth via inter-agency diplomacy and all-inclusive safety mechanism.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
