 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. Dollar: Get Set Another Fuel Pump Price Hike - Marketers 

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria said the price of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly known as fuel would continue to increase as long as the US Dollar rose in the foreign exchange market.

Chinedu Okoronkwo, the National President of IPMAN, disclosed this to DAILY POST exclusively while reacting to speculation of further fuel pump hikes.

The IPMAN’s boss noted that fuel price will keep soaring if the dollar keeps rising in the forex market.

He said: “Nigerians should understand that with fuel subsidy removal, the government is no longer determining pump prices but the market forces. The product is bought in dollars. The dollar is around 890/$1 now. As the dollar climbs, fuel pump prices will continue to go up.

As a solution, he urged the government to double up efforts to make Compressed Natural Gas available for Nigerians.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
