 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Ousted Gabon president Ali Bongo begs friends to protest against coup leaders

Ali Bongo, the President of Gabon, has called on his international allies to speak out against the military coup that has ousted him from power.

Bongo’s call was against a group of Gabonese military officers who cancelled his election, “putting an end to the current regime.”

His words: “I’m sending a message to all friends that we have all over the world to tell them to make noise for the people here who arrested me and my family.

“I’m calling you to make noise, to make noise, to make noise, really. I don’t know what is going on.”

Meanwhile, the governments of China, France, and Russia have reacted to the situation, calling for restraint on all sides.

Since the coup, citizens and several Gabonese soldiers were seen celebrating and commending the junta for the move.
