 Russia has been striking Kyiv's Dnipro River bridges for four consecutive days, aiming to disrupt transport between the city's eastern and western banks.  On Sunday morning Oct. 4, 2026, a Russian drone hit the Pivnichnyi (Northern) Bridge for the second day in a row, damaging the road surface and trolleybus cables and injuring two people.  Video showed cars on the bridge when the drone exploded into a fireball and black smoke. The attack came hours after German Chancelor Friedrich Merz arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit to pledge further support.   The strikes have also targeted the Pivdennyi (Southern) Bridge repeatedly since Oct. 1-2, forcing full or partial closures of three of Kyiv's six road bridges and causing major traffic jams. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the bridges are structurally intact but the damage has cut hot water to parts of the Desnyanskyi district and severely restricted metro and road traffic, with about 500,000 vehicles using th...

 Nigeria British Journalist Chioma Nnadi Named British Vogue's First Black Female Editor


🇳🇬 🇨🇭 🇬🇧 Fashion journalist and podcaster Chioma Nnadi has been named as the new editor-in-chief of British Vogue.


Nnadi will become the first black female head of the industry leading fashion title, which also has outlets in the US, France and Italy.


Brought up by a Swiss-German nurse mother and a Nigerian father who came to the UK to study economics in 1964, Nnadi was born and raised in London.


@nnadibynature says she was "beyond excited and honoured" to be taking over the role from the outgoing Edward Enninful.


Nnadi begins the job on October 9.
