  NBC bans Eedris Abdulkareem’s protest song ‘Tell Your Papa’ from radio, TV The National Broadcasting Commission has barred Nigerian radio and television stations from airing the trending song “Tell Your Papa” by veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, citing its “objectionable nature.” In a memo dated April 9, 2025 and issued by the Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Susan Obi, the commission declared the track Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB) under Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. This section prohibits content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of public decency from being aired on Nigerian broadcast platforms. According to the NBC, while the song has gained momentum across social media platforms, its lyrical content fails to meet the standards of responsible broadcasting. Angry father flogs teacher to d£ath after school disciplined his son over alleged palm wine theft in Delta

Delta State Police Command has arrested a father, Nnajiofor Nweke, for allegedly flogging a teacher to d£ath at Alihami Secondary School in Agbor, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State. 

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, after the suspect’s son was disciplined over alleged theft of palm wine. 

Spokesperson of the state Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident said the suspect’s son and other students of the school went to a palm wine shop and allegedly stole two kegs of palm wine.

The matter was reported to the school authorities after which the students were identified and then flogged as part of a disciplinary measure.

However, after finding out what had happened to his child, the suspect came to the school with a cane and started flogging the teachers. 

One of the teachers slumped and died during the attack. 

“Failed parenting!!! Now turned into a murder case On 18th October 2023, the suspect Nnajiofor Nweke, a father of one student (name withheld) at Alihame Mixed secondary School Agbor, on the said date, his son alongside some other students went to a palm wine shop and allegedly stole two kegs of palm wine,” the PPRO stated.

“The matter was reported to the school authorities and the students were flogged. The suspect came to the school in protest, with a cane, and started flogging teachers in the school

“One of the teachers slumped and died. The suspect is currently in SCID undergoing investigation for a suspected case of murder. See what I am always talking about today parenting. Now him don buy market.”
