 Abia Govt Warns School Heads: Stop Illegal Fees or Face Dismissal The Abia State Government has issued a stern warning to school heads and principals, threatening dismissal for anyone found collecting unauthorized fees in public schools, in violation of the state’s free education policy. Information Commissioner Prince Okey Kanu, speaking after the weekly Executive Council meeting, reiterated that education is free from primary to JSS3, while students in SS1 to SS3 are only required to pay a reduced fee of ₦3,300. He emphasized that routine school expenses are now covered by government imprest funds, eliminating any excuse for illegal levies, and warned that offenders risk losing their jobs. Kanu also announced reforms in the education sector, including training for 2,200 teachers by the Education Reformation and Innovation Team (ERIT) and the conclusion of teacher recruitment interviews for 7,000 qualified applicants and 180 persons with disabilities.  I can’t ignore her cry for help” – Iyabo Ojo speaks on Mohbad’s mother’s allegedly being stalked and threatened


Mohbad has been dead for close to a year now, but the controversies surrounding his death keeps unraveling every now and then.


In a recent development, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo made a post on Instagram, saying that Mohbad’s mother reached out to her that she was scared for her safety.

“i received a distress call from Mama Mohbad in the earlier hours of today concerning her safety, and this brought a lot of sadness to my heart, even though i have tried to step aside from #justiceformohbad


I can’t ignore this cry for help, i feel it is hightime the right authorities waged in on this matter before things begin to get messy, if it’s not already getting out of hands……. I believe


We have laws in this country, and i believe every Nigerian is allowed to feel safe in the confines of their own homes. To our able Governor Babajide Sanwolu sir, Nigeria police force, @adejobimuyiwa, and all the concerned citizens… please this has to stop, this woman lost her dear son and i feel it is only fair we allow her mourn her son in peace and not in pieces, Mohbad has still not been buried, that

alone is traumatizing enough, and now stalking, harassment, bullying and dehumanizing Mohbad’s mother should not be allowed. This has got to stop”


Iyabo Ojo has always been supportive of Mohbad’s mother, despite the fact that she has been constantly tackled by her in-laws and netizens alike.
