 COURT SENTENCES TWO KIDNAPPERS IN EKITI STATE TO DEATH BY HANGING A high court of Ekiti state has convicted and sentenced the kidnappers, Ibrahim Abubakar and Abdullahi Abubakar to death by hanging. Delivering the verdict, the Chief Judge of Ekiti state, Justice Lekan Ogunmoye who gave the order sentenced two convicts to death by hanging and discharged the third defendant, Usman Abubakar. The matter bordered on the abduction of Omoboade Adesina, a female National Youth Service Corps member in Ekiti state, on 22nd April, 2022.  Justice Lekan Ogunmoye commended the diligence of DSS prosecutors for proving the case beyond reasonable doubt.

 SA court to decide on Zuma's vote exclusion


South African court will decide on April 9, 2024 whether former President Jacob Zuma will be allowed to run in May elections, or not.


Judges in South Africa will on Tuesday rule on whether former President Jacob Zuma will be allowed to appear on the ballot in May elections.


Zuma, who is running for a new opposition party, has appealed a decision by electoral officials to bar him from the vote over a 2021 conviction.


On Monday, the 81-year-old was in court in Johannesburg as lawyers debated the case.


"If the masses want me to be president, what's going to stop them?" a cheery Zuma told supporters, after the hearing. "Allow me to go and finish what I started.
