  NINE PEOPLE ARRESTED AS CULT CLASH ROCKS BENUE BURIAL CEREMONY  PAt least nine suspected cult members have been arrested after a violent clash disrupted a burial ceremony in Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State. The incident reportedly led to the destruction of homes and valuables, with several individuals still unaccounted for. Tension gripped parts of Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State after a violent clash involving suspected cult groups left properties destroyed and several persons missing. The incident occurred in Abenga, Mbakya, and Mbabur communities during the burial of one Dugeri Terhemen, popularly known as “Black Deal.” According to local sources, the burial ceremony was disrupted by clashes between rival groups, leading to chaos in the affected areas.  SA court to decide on Zuma's vote exclusion


South African court will decide on April 9, 2024 whether former President Jacob Zuma will be allowed to run in May elections, or not.


Judges in South Africa will on Tuesday rule on whether former President Jacob Zuma will be allowed to appear on the ballot in May elections.


Zuma, who is running for a new opposition party, has appealed a decision by electoral officials to bar him from the vote over a 2021 conviction.


On Monday, the 81-year-old was in court in Johannesburg as lawyers debated the case.


"If the masses want me to be president, what's going to stop them?" a cheery Zuma told supporters, after the hearing. "Allow me to go and finish what I started.
