 Alleged Defilement: Ogun Drops Charges Against School Proprietor, Cites Lack of Evidence …decries social media incitement against the accused, govt The Ogun State Government has decided not to press charges against the proprietor of Perfect Life School, Igode-Remo, Mr. Ashafa Samson Adelaja, over allegations of defilement. According to the state Ministry of Justice, following its findings after a thorough investigation of the allegations against Adelaja, the State Government, on Thursday, informed the Chief Magistrate sitting in the Sagamu Magisterial District that it would not be bringing any charges against him. Accordingly, Mr. Ashafa was unconditionally released from prison custody, according to a statement issued by the ministry.  SA court to decide on Zuma's vote exclusion


South African court will decide on April 9, 2024 whether former President Jacob Zuma will be allowed to run in May elections, or not.


Judges in South Africa will on Tuesday rule on whether former President Jacob Zuma will be allowed to appear on the ballot in May elections.


Zuma, who is running for a new opposition party, has appealed a decision by electoral officials to bar him from the vote over a 2021 conviction.


On Monday, the 81-year-old was in court in Johannesburg as lawyers debated the case.


"If the masses want me to be president, what's going to stop them?" a cheery Zuma told supporters, after the hearing. "Allow me to go and finish what I started.
