 Court Vacates Arrest Warrant On  Kabiru Turaki The High Court Of The Federal Capital Territory Has Vacated A Bench Warrant It Issued For The Arrest Of The Factional National Chairman Of The Peoples Democratic Party (Pdp), Kabiru Turaki, San. Justice Peter Kekemieke Vacated The Arrest Warrant While Ruling On An Oral Application By Counsel For Turaki, Chris Uche San, Following His Appearance In Court. When The Case Was Called, Uche Apologised To The Court For His Absence On The Last Date. Uche, Who Claimed To Be Out Of The Country, Said He Returned On Wednesday And Headed Straight To The Court. He Also Apologised On Behalf Of His Client, Who He Said Is A Member Of The Inner Bar  And Has The Highest Regard For The Court. He Said Turaki’S Absence On The Last Date Was Not Intentional And Deliberate, Adding That He Never Intended To Disrespect The Court.  EFCC Arrests Eight Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Uyo


Operatives of the Uyo Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday May 2, 2024 arrested eight suspected  internet fraudsters in an early morning sting operation at Osong Ama Extension in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.


They were arrested following credible intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet fraud.  

Items recovered from them include, seven laptops; 13 smart phones; two wrist watches and one router.

 

The suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
