  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us. WIFE ALLEGEDLY MURDERED HUSBAND AT MALUNGANE VILLAGE IN NAMAKGALE. (PHOTOS).

  Wife allegedly murdered husband at Malungane village in Namakgale 


A 52-year-old woman, Orscarin Selina Hlungwani, has been charged with murder for allegedly killing her husband, Soyaphi Moses Hlungwani (63) also known as Shaka, at Malungane village in Namakgale. 


After his first wife passed away, Hlungwani moved to Malungane village with Selina. The couple got into a fight on August 27, leaving Shaka bruised and lying on the floor. The family reported the incident to Namakgale police the next day at 1 pm.


Selina initially appeared in court on August 30, 2024, for a formal bail application but was denied. She was denied bail again on September 4, 2024, but eventually granted R1000 bail on September 10, 2024.


The late Soyaphi Moses Hlungwani was born in Nsavulani village, outside Giyani, and later relocated to Phalaborwa for work at Palabora Mining Company (PMC), a major copper producer in South Africa.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
