S. A: SEVEN SUSPECTS ARRESTED WITH UNLICENSED FIREARM AND AMMUNITION FOLLOWING INTELLIGENCE-DRIVEN OPERATION IN MAKUMEKE VILLAGE. (PHOTO). #PRESS RELEASE
This deeply disturbing incident, occurred at 11:55 a.m. yesterday, Saturday, October 3rd, in Chicago, Illinois.
On that fateful morning, little Edimari Chacon was blissfully unaware of the mortal danger lurking in her peripheral. She was strolling down the block on South Cottage Grove Avenue, enjoying a beautiful day. Video shows her holding hands with a loved one while strolling.
Unfortunately, for Edimari, everything was going to end for her in just a few more steps.
As she walked along, an adult woman (who remains unidentified at this time) quickly approached her while brandishing a blade.
This sick individual couldn't even face up to her own disgusting actions. She began fatally attacking little Edimari from behind. The young girl suffered multiple st@b wounds and never even saw d*ath coming for her.
She went from bl**ding out on the pavement to being taken to Corner Children's Hospital. She had sadly perished sometime during the transport.
Her whole future was robbed, and the world had a great young person full of potential, taken from it.
However, some goodness and humanity are still present even in the darkest of times. Bystanders who witnessed this young child being m*rdered in broad daylight... were p*ssed off and did something about it.
A group immediately set upon the attacker, stopping the assault and causing her to flee.
She did not outrun their outrage.
She was quickly subdued while sustaining some injuries from the bystanders. Who can really blame them? We're sure they were not only distraught, but outraged as well.
The suspect was taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Police have not released her identity or if she has any sort of connection to the young victim. The incident remains under investigation, and charges are pending.
Our thoughts are with the family. Edimari seemed so happy, genuine, vibrant, and full of life.
We hope to never write a story like this again.
