Diddy 'powerful' behind bars as insider reveals 'everyone' is afraid

Despite P Diddy's current stint in jail, it's reported that his name still sends a shiver down the spine of some celebrities. Sean Combs, also known as P Diddy, was arrested last month on accusations of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and soliciting for prostitution - charges he firmly denies.

Yet, the denial did little to sway the courts, resulting in a failed bail plea. Since his lock-up, the lawsuits are piling up with lawyer Tony Buzbee's hotline buzzing with 12,000 calls within a day about claims related to the artist - so the legal expert claims.

Some insiders confess that despite the legal turmoil, Diddy's clout lingers in the industry. As per a People insider: "He's so powerful. Everyone was afraid to cross him. Even though he's behind bars now, he's still so powerful. We all knew it even back then."

Adding, "Everyone always chalked it up to being a creative genius when it came to his obsession with controlling things."

Rumours are swirling that big names are biting their nails worried they might be dragged into the ongoing saga, reports the Mirror.

With about 120 alleged victims represented by Buzbee, whispers abound that some A-listers have been offered a chance to hush up their accusers with payouts in exchange for secrecy.

He remarked: "Everyone is focused on what other celebrities were involved, who is going to be named, who is going to be outed. I don't expect that to happen this week. We want to make sure if we name individuals beyond Mr Combs that, we have done our homework because it is going to create a firestorm, and we understand that. If you were there in the room, participated, watched it happen and didn't say anything or helped cover it up, in my view, you have a problem."

Buzbee told TMZ he's fired off demand letters to celebs allegedly tangled in the scandal. Diddy's cooling his heels at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in New York.

After his arrest, his lawyer Erica Wolff slammed the "meritless allegations". She stated: "As Mr Combs' legal team has emphasised, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus."

Speaking to TMZ, she continued: "That said, Mr Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation."
