 PRESS RELEASE FCT POLICE RESCUE SUSPECT FROM JUNGLE JUSTICE OVER ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION OF 5 YEAR OLD CHILD. …CP FCT Condemns such acts as it delays the course of justice The FCT Police Command, on the 4th of October 2026 at approximately 02:46PM, received a distress call reporting that an unidentified adult male was being assaulted by an angry mob over an alleged attempt to abduct a child. Following receipt of the report, police operatives from Kuje Division were immediately dispatched to the scene, where one Bashir Usman was rescued from an irate mob that was about to lynch him. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was being assaulted by the mob over allegations that he attempted to abduct a five year old child in front of her residence in Angwan Lado, Kuje Area Council of the FCT.  Governor Dapo Abiodun Signs 2025 Appropriation Bill Into Law


Governor Dapo Abiodun has officially signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill into law, solidifying his administration’s commitment to advancing Ogun State’s development agenda. The budget, titled the “Budget of Hope and Prosperity,” aims to drive sustainable growth, improve service delivery, and foster inclusive development across all sectors of the state.


During the signing ceremony at the Governor’s Office in Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun emphasized the budget’s focus on consolidating progress in critical areas such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and industrialization. He noted that it also opens new pathways for economic growth and human capital development.


“This budget represents the collective aspirations of the people of Ogun State. It embodies our unwavering commitment to delivering on our promises and ensuring every resource is utilized effectively for the benefit of all,” the Governor stated.


Governor Abiodun commended the Ogun State House of Assembly for their dedication and timely passage of the budget, describing their efforts as a testament to their shared vision for the state’s progress.


As the implementation phase begins, the Governor assured citizens of his administration’s steadfast commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance. He urged all stakeholders to support the government in actualizing the goals of the 2025 budget.
