 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  Governor Dapo Abiodun Signs 2025 Appropriation Bill Into Law


Governor Dapo Abiodun has officially signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill into law, solidifying his administration’s commitment to advancing Ogun State’s development agenda. The budget, titled the “Budget of Hope and Prosperity,” aims to drive sustainable growth, improve service delivery, and foster inclusive development across all sectors of the state.


During the signing ceremony at the Governor’s Office in Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun emphasized the budget’s focus on consolidating progress in critical areas such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and industrialization. He noted that it also opens new pathways for economic growth and human capital development.


“This budget represents the collective aspirations of the people of Ogun State. It embodies our unwavering commitment to delivering on our promises and ensuring every resource is utilized effectively for the benefit of all,” the Governor stated.


Governor Abiodun commended the Ogun State House of Assembly for their dedication and timely passage of the budget, describing their efforts as a testament to their shared vision for the state’s progress.


As the implementation phase begins, the Governor assured citizens of his administration’s steadfast commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance. He urged all stakeholders to support the government in actualizing the goals of the 2025 budget.


The “Budget of Hope and Prosperity” is poised to propel Ogun State toward greater economic stability and enhanced quality of life, reinforcing its position as a leader in sustainable development.
