 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East.  POLICE ARREST BURGLAR ON HIS WAY TO DISPOSE OF STOLEN PHONES


The operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested a suspected burglar on his way to dispose of three mobile phones of his benefactor.


The suspect; Yusuf Ojo (27) was arrested around 5:00 a.m. in Oshodi, last Wednesday by the police.


Preliminary investigations revealed that Ojo burgled the home of one Michael at Iyana Iyesi, Ogun State around 12:00 a.m. when the victim and his family were asleep on Wednesday.


It was further revealed that Ojo had earlier that very day collected money as assistance from the victim to enable him take care of himself.


The suspect, after carting away three mobile phones was heading to Mushin to sell the mobile phones when police arrested him. 


Ojo has been charged to court.
