 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  POLICE ARREST BURGLAR ON HIS WAY TO DISPOSE OF STOLEN PHONES


The operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested a suspected burglar on his way to dispose of three mobile phones of his benefactor.


The suspect; Yusuf Ojo (27) was arrested around 5:00 a.m. in Oshodi, last Wednesday by the police.


Preliminary investigations revealed that Ojo burgled the home of one Michael at Iyana Iyesi, Ogun State around 12:00 a.m. when the victim and his family were asleep on Wednesday.


It was further revealed that Ojo had earlier that very day collected money as assistance from the victim to enable him take care of himself.


The suspect, after carting away three mobile phones was heading to Mushin to sell the mobile phones when police arrested him. 


Ojo has been charged to court.
