 TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI RESCUE ABDUCTED NGOSHE WOMEN IN MANDARA MOUNTAIN Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have recorded another significant operational success with the rescue of six abducted civilians and their subsequent reunion with family members in Ngoshe community, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. The rescue operation followed sustained offensive actions, including recent air interdiction missions targeting terrorist enclaves in the Mandara Mountains. Acting on credible intelligence, troops of OPHK, while returning from a successful overnight offensive operation in the early hours of 1 May 2026, intercepted and rescued six women and children  around Amuda—a deserted area between Ngoshe and Gava known for terrorist transit activities.  NECO Disowns Fake Facebook Account Impersonating Registrar


The National Examinations Council (NECO) has issued a public warning regarding a fraudulent Facebook account created in the name of its Registrar and Chief Executive, Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi.


In a statement signed by Azeez Sani, Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, NECO clarified that the account is not associated with the Registrar and was created to deceive and defraud unsuspecting individuals. The council urged the public to be cautious to avoid falling victim to the scam.


“Security agents have been notified to take appropriate action against the perpetrators of this fraudulent act,” the statement added, as NECO works to protect the public from the ongoing fraud.
