 Judge rejects Amy Winehouse's father’s lawsuit over sale of singer’s personal items  A London judge has ruled against Mitch Winehouse in a legal dispute over the sale of personal belongings once owned by his late daughter, singer Amy Winehouse. Mitch Winehouse, who serves as the administrator of the singer’s estate, brought the case against Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay, alleging they improperly profited from the sale of her memorabilia. He claimed the pair had no right to sell the items and did so without his knowledge, arguing they should not have benefited from the auctions. Amy Winehouse died in 2011 at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning at her home in London, bringing an end to a career that made her one of the most recognizable voices of her generation.  POLICE ARREST SIX MEMBERS OF WANTED GANG, RECOVER WEAPONS AND SUSPECTED STOLEN VEHICLE


Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have apprehended six suspected gang members and recovered arms, ammunition, and an unregistered vehicle suspected to be stolen during a routine

patrol on May 29, 2025. The operation is part of the Command’s ongoing efforts to rid the state of criminal elements and enhance public safety.


The suspects identified as Yakubu Oke, ’m’ aged 48, Teslim Balogun, ‘m’ aged 33, Emmanuel Osas, ‘m’ aged 33, Joseph Abah, ‘m’ aged 34,

Idris Adewunmi, ‘m’ aged 32, and Opeyemi Kolawole, ‘m’ aged 28 were intercepted and questioned but failed to provide satisfactory information regarding their movements and identities, raising suspicion.


A thorough search led to the recovery of two locally fabricated pistols,

16 rounds of 9mm ammunition, 17 live cartridges, and an unregistered 1999 Toyota Camry. Further investigation revealed that the suspects are members of a notorious gang previously listed on the police watchlist for operating across several locations within the Lagos Metropolis.

The suspects are currently cooperating with investigators and have provided useful information to help uncover additional leads and identify accomplices. Investigations are ongoing as the Command intensifies efforts to ensure that all criminal elements are brought to justice.

Upon conclusion of the investigation, the suspects will be charged to court accordingly.


The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to eradicating crime across the state. He urges residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station. CP Jimoh assures the people of Lagos that the Command remains fully dedicated to protecting lives and property, and to upholding peace and security throughout the state.
