 Man brutalises his pregnant wife in Anambra  In another case of domestic violence, a pregnant woman was brutally beaten by her husband in Ichi, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. The mother of three identified as Chinelo Francis, from Ebonyi State, said trouble began when she requested money from her husband, Peter, to prepare food.  According to the young woman, she had already bought vegetable with the profit she made from her shop. Peter, also from Ebonyi, claimed he didn’t make money that day and took the children home.  He returned to her shop at around 8:00 PM and insisted she close up and come home with him.  She refused, explaining that the time was when she typically made most of her sales.  Later, she closed up her shop, went home at 9:30 PM, prepared the children for bed, and retired.  “25 tenants owe me ₦287m rent for 3 years, yet they dragged me to court for threatening their lives” — Isaac Fayose


Businessman Isaac Fayose has taken to social media to lament his ongoing battle with tenants who he claims have refused to pay rent for over three years.


In a video shared from Abuja Zone 6 court, Fayose said his tenants—about 25 of them occupying 24 flats and a restaurant in his estate—owe him a staggering ₦287 million in rent.


According to him, instead of paying up, the tenants filed a case against him alleging he threatened their lives.


Fayose further revealed he has already spent ₦48 million in legal fees across five different courts since the dispute began.


He blamed the weak judiciary for enabling the situation, saying constant adjournments have given the tenants room to continue avoiding payment.


“Can you stay abroad in someone’s house for over three years without paying rent and still be dragging the owner to court? This is what we go through in this country,” Fayose lamented.
