 Unknown individuals looted palliatives at our Owerri rally – City Boy Movement An empowerment programme organised by the City Boy Movement, a support group for President Bola Tinubu, descended into disorder on Saturday when a large crowd surged forward and looted items intended for distribution to beneficiaries across Nigeria's South-East region. The event, held at Heroes Square in Owerri, marked the official launch of the Renewed Hope National Tour and the City Boy Movement South-East Youth Tour and Empowerment Programme on March 14, 2026. It aimed to provide support to young people, market traders, and vulnerable individuals from Abia, Anambra, Imo, Ebonyi, and Enugu states.  “25 tenants owe me ₦287m rent for 3 years, yet they dragged me to court for threatening their lives” — Isaac Fayose


Businessman Isaac Fayose has taken to social media to lament his ongoing battle with tenants who he claims have refused to pay rent for over three years.


In a video shared from Abuja Zone 6 court, Fayose said his tenants—about 25 of them occupying 24 flats and a restaurant in his estate—owe him a staggering ₦287 million in rent.


According to him, instead of paying up, the tenants filed a case against him alleging he threatened their lives.


Fayose further revealed he has already spent ₦48 million in legal fees across five different courts since the dispute began.


He blamed the weak judiciary for enabling the situation, saying constant adjournments have given the tenants room to continue avoiding payment.


“Can you stay abroad in someone’s house for over three years without paying rent and still be dragging the owner to court? This is what we go through in this country,” Fayose lamented.
