 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly.  Kid Rock calls mask wearers an offensive name

During a recent exchange, Kid Rock responded to a question about Anthony Fauci by saying “A R-word,” while briefly putting a face mask on and taking it off again. His remark appeared to mock people who wear masks to protect against illnesses like COVID-19, the flu, and RSV.

The “All Summer Long” singer has a history of outspoken views on masks. In his 2022 song “We The People,” he included lyrics criticizing mask-wearing and medication use, and he later announced that he would not perform in cities enforcing mask or vaccine mandates, leading to several canceled shows. Earlier in the pandemic, he had supported mask use, posting a photo of himself wearing one in April 2020 with a message urging people to stay safe. However, by June 2020, his Nashville bar was cited for violating coronavirus restrictions after patrons were pictured unmasked and crowded inside.
