 STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU MOURNS NAF PERSONNEL IN ONDO JET CRASH, ORDERS THOROUGH INVESTIGATION OF THE MISHAP   President Bola Tinubu has expressed profound sadness over the crash on Monday morning of a Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 jet near a naval base in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State.   The aircraft was on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos when the accident occurred.   The President extends his deepest condolences to the family of the 25 passengers and seven crew members involved, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, and all officers, airmen and airwomen of the Nigerian Air Force.   "This is a painful moment for our Armed Forces and for the entire nation.  Fire Outbreak At Federal Secretariat Office In Abuja Contained


A fire outbreak at the Federal Secretariat Complex Phase II Monday morning has been brought under.  control by emergency responders, with authorities confirming that no casualties were recorded.


The incident, which caused concern among staff and visitors within the complex, occurred on the fourth floor of Block C, housing the National Board for Technology Incubation, an agency under the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology (Nigeria).


Officials of the Federal Fire Service (Nigeria) and the Federal Capital Territory Fire Service swiftly responded to the emergency, working to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to other sections of the building.

Other emergency response teams, including personnel from the National Emergency Management Agency, the Federal Road Safety Corps, and the Nigerian Red Cross Society, were also deployed to the scene to support rescue operations, manage safety around the premises, and ensure a coordinated response.


Authorities say investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire, while assessments are ongoing to establish the extent of damage to property within the affected office.
