 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System. A tragic road accident has claimed the life of a farmer in Adekaa, Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State. The incident reportedly involved a Dangote truck, leaving eyewitnesses in shock.


A farmer has reportedly lost his life after being crushed by a truck belonging to Dangote Group in Adekaa, Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State.


According to an eyewitness identified as Aboji One, the tragic incident occurred on a hot afternoon as the victim was returning from his farm. The impact of the crash was described as severe, with the victim reportedly sustaining fatal injuries.


“It happened right in front of me. I have not seen such an accident in a long time,” the eyewitness said, expressing shock over the development.


Sources at the scene indicated that the victim could not be immediately identified due to the extent of the injuries sustained in the crash.


Police officers, including individuals identified as Angura and Solomon, were said to have responded promptly to the scene following the incident. Their swift intervention reportedly helped to manage the situation and restore order.


Authorities are yet to release an official statement regarding the cause of the accident or further details about the victim.


Fatal road accidents involving heavy-duty trucks remain a recurring concern across many parts of Nigeria, often raising questions about road safety enforcement, vehicle maintenance, and driver conduct.
