BAUCHI STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE FOUR SUSPECTS ARRESTED OVER FARMER-HERDER CLASH IN NINGI LGA THAT CLAIMED ONE LIFE Following the unfortunate farmer-herder clash at Guda Village in Ningi Local Government Area, the Command wishes to inform the public that four suspects have now been arrested in connection with the incident. On 23rd September, 2026 at about 0740hrs, three farmers from Guda Village went to their farms on Guda Hill and found cattle belonging to a herder grazing on and destroying their crops. They chased the cattle to the herders' settlement where an argument ensued and degenerated into a fight. In the process, the three farmers sustained injuries. Sadly, in retaliation, some youths from Guda Village mobilized and set ablaze houses at the herders settlement. Operatives from Ningi Division responded promptly, restored normalcy and evacuated the injured to General Hospital Ningi. 140 CYBER-CRIMINALS ARRESTED OVER THREE MONTHS IN LAGOS-EFCC.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

  The Lagos Zonal Head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has disclosed that about 140 cybercriminals were arrested in the zone over a period of three months. He said 38 cybercriminals , including seven girls, were arrested on a particular day during one of the raids in some parts of the state. Speaking on a radio pragramme, Sadiq and the Guru on Lagos Talks 91.3FM, on Monday, December 14, 2020, Bawa further lamented that cybercriminals were not contributing genuinely to the economy of the country. According to him, “ we have carried out series of investigations regarding computer-related fraud. “We have done about nine of such investigations around the Lekki area of Lagos. “ Over a period of three months, we arrested close to 140 cybercriminals. “In one of the raids, we arrested 38, including seven girls, who are “girlfriends” of the suspects.   Justice Bello Duwale of the Sokoto State High Court, sitting in Sokoto on 11 December, 2020, convicted and sentenced three top officials of the Sokoto Medical and Health Workers Union: Ibrahim Dan-Dede, Suleiman Ibrahim and Habibu Musa, to two years imprisonment without an option of fine for obtaining Three Million Three Hundred Thousand Naira (N3,300, 000.00) by false pretence. The convicts were prosecuted by the Sokoto Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,on a two-count charge.   President Muhammadu Buhari Monday in Daura, Katsina State, received more briefing on children kidnapped from Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, with an assurance from Governor Aminu Bello Masari of steady progress to bring them out unharmed. “We are making progress and the outlook is positive,’’ the Governor told newsmen after an hour meeting with the President, which started at 2pm. The Governor, who was accompanied by the Deputy Governor of the state, Manir Yakubu, said the kidnappers had made contact and discussions were already on pertaining to safety and return to their homes. Governor Masari also noted that security agencies had located the position of the children. The Governor said the President was fully committed to the rescue of the school children, adding that it was only appropriate to visit the President and give him more details of rescue efforts. … Targets 10,000 New Jobs Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babjide Sanwo-Olu, has said that the government will establish the Lagos Aquaculture Centre of Excellence (L.A.C.E), in collaboration with a private sector investor, as part of efforts to boost fish production in the State. Governor Sanwo-Olu, who disclosed this over the weekend at the Y2020 edition of the Lagos Seafood Festival held at the Muri-Okunola Park, Victoria Island, explained that the Centre is expected to generate no fewer than 5,000 smallholder fish farms, which would in turn create about 1,000 indirect jobs during the construction phase and another 500 direct jobs opportunities for people who would be engaged at different phases of the project. He pointed out that the Project includes the establishment of a 50 million fish hatchery facility, projected 2,000 tons per annum table-sized fish production schedule, 24,000 tons per annum fish feed mill as well as a 20,000 ton-per-annum fish and seafood processing centre.
