 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. DESPITE HIS COUNTRY IS ON FIRE,PRESIDENT OF BURUNDI,WAS SEEN PLAYING FOOTBALL.?

                        President of Burundi Pierre Nkurunziza was pictured playing football with his friends in Bujumbura,meanwhile,police and soldiers were outside,clashing with protesters in the latest push against the presidents third term bid after the failed coup.President Nkurunziza is a qualified football coach and never fails to travel with his football team.Anti Government protesters have been demonstrating since the president was nominated for a third term in power.Atleast two protesters were shot dead and eight were wounded in clashes with police in the capital Bujumbura.Heavy gunfire was heard all day in surburbs of the capital,with intense bursts of automatic weapons,as protesters in reply hurled rocks from makeshift barricades.More photos below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
