 TEAM LAGOS EMERGES TOP AT 23RD NATIONAL SPORTS FESTIVAL SOUTH WEST ELIMINATION Lagos State athletes proved their dominance in the South West by edging out regional competitors and emerging top in the five team events contested at the elimination series qualifier for the 23rd National Sports Festival later this year in Enugu. The elimination series featured team events in volleyball, basketball, football, beach volleyball, and cricket in male and female categories. While the team clinched only the female football ticket by topping their group, they showed dominance in three other sports by winning both the male and female tickets. Team Lagos took first position in the volleyball male and female categories. The male team defeated their counterparts from Ondo in the finals by 25-18, 24-26, 25-20, and 25-20, while the female team defeated Team Oyo by 25-18, 22-25, 28-26, 16-25, and 15-8. NOVELIST JACKIE COLLINS,PASSED AWAY YESTERDAY AT THE AGE OF 77.

                                                         A lot of celebrities have stated posting their tributes messages through their social media for the death of a great Novelist Jackie Collins.Jackie Collins was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer six and a half years ago but she chose to keep her illness almost entirely to herself,confiding primarily in her three daughters 54 year old Tracy,48 year old Tiffany and 46 year old Rory.Memorial services in both the United States and the United Kingdom will be held privately.The Collins family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to the Susan G.Komen Breast Cancer Organization and Penny Brolon Cancer care {In the UK}.Her latest novel ''The Santangelos'' hit the shelves in June 2015 and it was my elder sister Caroline that made me to be a Jackie Collins fan because she is a great collector of all her books.Jackie Collins is the sister to Hollywood actress Joan Collins.May her soul rest in peace Amen.The 19th of September will always be remembered as Jackie Collins day.More photos below.
