 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  NIGERIA POLICE DETAINS PERSONNEL WHO USED KNIFE ON MOTORIST FOR REFUSING TO GIVE 100 NAIRA BRIBE.



The police officers who were caught on camera brutalising and attempting to stab some young men over alleged refusal to give a bribe of N100 while on stop-and-search duty in Warri, Delta State have been identified and summoned to the Police headquarters in Abuja.


It was reported on Thursday that the police officers had stopped the victims to check their vehicle particulars, and then demanded N100 from the young men but they refused to part with the money, which angered the officers.


From the video of the incident which went viral on the internet, the police officers subsequently wrestled one of the young men to the ground and unleashed violence on them.
