 PDP court hearing over pro-Wike faction suit adjourned to Jan 14 The Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday adjourned the hearing of a suit by the pro-Wike faction of the PDP challenging the Ibadan National Convention until January 14, 2026. The adjournment followed a motion by the opposing faction, led by Kabiru Turaki, seeking the recusal of Justice Joyce Abdulmalik over alleged bias. The court held the motion was not yet ripe for hearing, as some parties had not been served. The suit involves disputes over party leadership recognition, access to PDP headquarters, and INEC’s acknowledgment of party representatives. A related counter-suit by the Turaki-led faction was also adjourned to January 16.

 NIGERIA POLICE DETAINS PERSONNEL WHO USED KNIFE ON MOTORIST FOR REFUSING TO GIVE 100 NAIRA BRIBE.



The police officers who were caught on camera brutalising and attempting to stab some young men over alleged refusal to give a bribe of N100 while on stop-and-search duty in Warri, Delta State have been identified and summoned to the Police headquarters in Abuja.


It was reported on Thursday that the police officers had stopped the victims to check their vehicle particulars, and then demanded N100 from the young men but they refused to part with the money, which angered the officers.


From the video of the incident which went viral on the internet, the police officers subsequently wrestled one of the young men to the ground and unleashed violence on them.
