Trump issues pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer after insider trading conviction    President Donald Trump has issued a full pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer, who served nearly two years in prison after being convicted of insider trading tied to post-congressional consulting work. Buyer was sentenced in 2023 to 22 months in prison for illegal stock trades made while working as a consultant and lobbyist. He was ordered to forfeit more than $350,000 in ill-gotten gains and pay a $10,000 fine. He was released from custody in 2025 after his conviction was upheld, with the Supreme Court declining to take up his appeal earlier this year. Further to the disclaimer issued by the Governor’s Press Secretary regarding the Fake N10,000 TRANSFER GIVEAWAY BY ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT, Ndi Anambra should be vigilant as exclusive Intel has revealed that more scammers are prowling the social media looking for those to defraud this Season.

It is worthy of reiteration: the Government of Anambra State is not giving away any N10,000. 

The notice making the rounds on the social media is the handiwork of scammers looking for those to fleece off their hard earned income.

Ndi Anambra are hereby advised to disregard this announcement and be wary of questionable notices from unofficial and unverified links.

Be careful so that you'll have a Merry Christmas.
