 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision. Further to the disclaimer issued by the Governor’s Press Secretary regarding the Fake N10,000 TRANSFER GIVEAWAY BY ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT, Ndi Anambra should be vigilant as exclusive Intel has revealed that more scammers are prowling the social media looking for those to defraud this Season.

It is worthy of reiteration: the Government of Anambra State is not giving away any N10,000. 

The notice making the rounds on the social media is the handiwork of scammers looking for those to fleece off their hard earned income.

Ndi Anambra are hereby advised to disregard this announcement and be wary of questionable notices from unofficial and unverified links.

Be careful so that you'll have a Merry Christmas.
