 A popular content creator has died from surgery complication     Esther Thomas, popularly known as Sunshine, was a Nigerian content creator, skit maker, and brand influencer. She died on Friday, 9 January 2026, after complications from fibroid surgery. She had been complaining of serious stomach pain from late December 2025.     Sunshine was first admitted at Orchid General Hospital in Lagos, where her friends said she was only given pain relief drugs because doctors were on strike. Her condition did not improve, so she was moved to another hospital on 2 January 2026, where tests showed she had a large fibroid and surgery was carried out. She later developed complications and died. After her death, friends blamed Orchid General Hospital online, saying she was neglected and did not receive proper treatment early enough. Music executive Paulo Okoye has slammed activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju for dragging singer, Samini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy’s name over the arrest of Speed Darlington


Earlier today, Deji Adeyanju bashed Burna Boy for singing legendary Fela Kuti’s lines of activism while oppressing people.


In response, Paulo took to his Instagram story to slam Deji Adeyanju for attacking Burna Boy. He identified the human rights lawyer as a social media lawyer who doesn’t have the right to malign the singer’s name.


He asked him to get his facts right and call his client to order. He urged him to put some respect on Burna Boy’s name.


“Deji Adeyanju or whatever they call you!!!! Can you put respect on Burna Boy’s name.


Why are you even calling Burna Boy’s name?? Smh

You are nothing more than a social media lawyer. Lawyer my a$$$.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
