2027: INEC FACES CREDIBLE QUESTION AS AMUPITAN CONFIRMS DEAD PERSONS’ NAMES ON REGISTER. (PHOTO).

 The credibility of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) voters’ register has come under intense scrutiny ahead of the 2027 general elections, following revelations by INEC Chairman Professor Joash Amupitan that names of deceased persons remain on the register. Amupitan disclosed that names of voters who died as far back as 15 years ago are still listed, a situation critics say could undermine the integrity of the 2027 polls and lead to significant financial waste through the printing of excess ballot papers and other election logistics. The INEC chairman made the revelation while receiving the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Abisoye Coker-Odusote, and her management team during a courtesy visit in Abuja on Wednesday. A COMMUNITY IS DEMANDING ANSWERS AFTER POLICE IN KENTUCKY TAKE A MAN'S LIFE WHILE SERVING A WARRANT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. (PHOTO).

 A community is demanding answers after police in Kentucky take a man's life while serving a warrant to the WRONG address. 


Neighbors of 61-year-old Doug Harless are in complete shock and disbelief after police took his life in a hail of gunfire on December 23rd. 


According to reports, London, Kentucky PD were serving a search warrant in regards to a "stolen weed eater" on Vanzant road in Laurel County. However police had executed the warrant two doors down from the actual address.


Police say they were forced to open fire after Doug pointed a gun at them. However a neighbor's surveillance camera showed them banging on the door until they forced entry. There is no evidence showing that Doug knew the police were getting ready to break into his home. Police fired approximately 5 rounds mere seconds after entry was made into Doug's home. 


Neighbors describe Doug as a quiet and humble person who was "a really good neighbor". Now community members are demanding justice for his senseless death due to police error.


London Mayor Randall Weddle said his office will closely follow the investigation that is now in the hands of Kentucky State Police. He stated his heart goes out to everyone affected by this incident. He ended his statement by saying he is limited on what he can say due to it being an open investigation. 


Our thoughts are with the family, friends and neighbors of Doug Harless as they deal with his untimely passing in such a controversial manner.


One neighbor reached out to share that "Doug always greeted everyone with a genuine smile".
