 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. A COMMUNITY IS DEMANDING ANSWERS AFTER POLICE IN KENTUCKY TAKE A MAN'S LIFE WHILE SERVING A WARRANT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. (PHOTO).

 A community is demanding answers after police in Kentucky take a man's life while serving a warrant to the WRONG address. 


Neighbors of 61-year-old Doug Harless are in complete shock and disbelief after police took his life in a hail of gunfire on December 23rd. 


According to reports, London, Kentucky PD were serving a search warrant in regards to a "stolen weed eater" on Vanzant road in Laurel County. However police had executed the warrant two doors down from the actual address.


Police say they were forced to open fire after Doug pointed a gun at them. However a neighbor's surveillance camera showed them banging on the door until they forced entry. There is no evidence showing that Doug knew the police were getting ready to break into his home. Police fired approximately 5 rounds mere seconds after entry was made into Doug's home. 


Neighbors describe Doug as a quiet and humble person who was "a really good neighbor". Now community members are demanding justice for his senseless death due to police error.


London Mayor Randall Weddle said his office will closely follow the investigation that is now in the hands of Kentucky State Police. He stated his heart goes out to everyone affected by this incident. He ended his statement by saying he is limited on what he can say due to it being an open investigation. 


Our thoughts are with the family, friends and neighbors of Doug Harless as they deal with his untimely passing in such a controversial manner.


One neighbor reached out to share that "Doug always greeted everyone with a genuine smile".
