 A popular content creator has died from surgery complication     Esther Thomas, popularly known as Sunshine, was a Nigerian content creator, skit maker, and brand influencer. She died on Friday, 9 January 2026, after complications from fibroid surgery. She had been complaining of serious stomach pain from late December 2025.     Sunshine was first admitted at Orchid General Hospital in Lagos, where her friends said she was only given pain relief drugs because doctors were on strike. Her condition did not improve, so she was moved to another hospital on 2 January 2026, where tests showed she had a large fibroid and surgery was carried out. She later developed complications and died. After her death, friends blamed Orchid General Hospital online, saying she was neglected and did not receive proper treatment early enough. A COMMUNITY IS DEMANDING ANSWERS AFTER POLICE IN KENTUCKY TAKE A MAN'S LIFE WHILE SERVING A WARRANT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. (PHOTO).

 A community is demanding answers after police in Kentucky take a man's life while serving a warrant to the WRONG address. 


Neighbors of 61-year-old Doug Harless are in complete shock and disbelief after police took his life in a hail of gunfire on December 23rd. 


According to reports, London, Kentucky PD were serving a search warrant in regards to a "stolen weed eater" on Vanzant road in Laurel County. However police had executed the warrant two doors down from the actual address.


Police say they were forced to open fire after Doug pointed a gun at them. However a neighbor's surveillance camera showed them banging on the door until they forced entry. There is no evidence showing that Doug knew the police were getting ready to break into his home. Police fired approximately 5 rounds mere seconds after entry was made into Doug's home. 


Neighbors describe Doug as a quiet and humble person who was "a really good neighbor". Now community members are demanding justice for his senseless death due to police error.


London Mayor Randall Weddle said his office will closely follow the investigation that is now in the hands of Kentucky State Police. He stated his heart goes out to everyone affected by this incident. He ended his statement by saying he is limited on what he can say due to it being an open investigation. 


Our thoughts are with the family, friends and neighbors of Doug Harless as they deal with his untimely passing in such a controversial manner.


One neighbor reached out to share that "Doug always greeted everyone with a genuine smile".

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
