Prince Ukachukwu in a press briefing held in his Campaign office at Awka alledged that state government used the non state actors to scare voters and held his party’s agent hostage.
He described the senatorial result as orchestrated plan to manipulate the process. He equally urged his party faithful to remain calm
"We are all aware of how the state vigilante group put our party senatorial candidate under house arrest. His house was surrounded, just to ensure that he did not exercise his franchise"
“You are also witnesses to how a sitting Deputy Governor of Anambra State left his location within the Central senatorial district to supervise election in another senatorial district"
“He came to my home town, Osumenyi to distract us and manipulate the election. While he was in Osumenyi to distract me as a governorship candidate, the state vigilante, Udogachi were busy holding the senatorial candidate hostage in his house
“Most of the results they declared were not correct. The election was mared with irregularities, yet nobody was arrested. They used state vigilante: Udogachi and Agunechemba to achieve their aims.
"The local vigilante were arresting and detaining people especially APC Agents, supporters and canversers. They were in different polling units with the Local government mayor, yet no arrest was made"
“We are not going to fold our arms and allow things go wrong. We are going to do otherwise if security agencies did not do the needful by disarming the vigilante groups they are using. They are already jittery because they know that they will lose the November 8 guber election"
Ukachukwu called on Inspector General of police and other security agencies to take good account of what happened in Anambra Bye election and so the needful.
