 Nigeria Calls for Stronger AU Peace and Security Architecture Nigeria has called for urgent reforms to strengthen the African Union Peace and Security Architecture, including improved early warning systems, sustainable financing and stronger coordination among continental and regional bodies. The statement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu notes that the forum was an important step towards implementing the African Union Assembly’s Decision 967 of February 2026, which requested concrete recommendations on strengthening the continent’s peace and security architecture by January 2027.  Igbinedion promises to deliver


House of Representatives-elect for Ovia Federal Constituency seat, Barr. Omosede Igbinedion, has promised to listen, serve and deliver on her electoral promises. 

Igbinedion won last Saturday’s by-election with a large margin. 

Reacting to the electoral victory, Igbinedion described the victory as a shared triumph for every son and daughter of Ovia as well as a powerful affirmation of their collective resolve for progress and representation. 

Igbinedion thanked the people of Ovia Federal Constituency and assured them she remained committed to serving them with renewed dedication, transparency, and compassion. 

She appreciated Governor Monday Okpebholo and Deputy, Dr. Dennis Idahosa, for their strategic leadership and support throughout the campaigns. 

According to her: “I am especially grateful to the Deputy Governor for his active role in leading party leaders, stakeholders, and loyal supporters across the 23 wards of our constituency during the campaign. 

“This victory is especially significant for women and youths. It serves as a bold reminder that our voices matter and that we belong at the table where decisions are made. Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
