 LAGOS RE-INTRODUCES MONTHLY ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION EXERCISE …Governor, Deputy lead State officials to clean up Mushin corridor Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday, announced the re-introduction of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation in the State. The Governor said the exercise will hold every last Saturday of the Month between the hours of 6:30am and 8:30am but without movement restrictions. He stressed that the exercise would be monitored by State officials with appropriate sanctions to be meted out to erring neighbourhoods and markets. Sanwo-Olu made the pronouncement during a ceremony held in Olosa Bus Stop in Mushin which marked the symbolic flag-off of the monthly sanitation. The Governor, who led his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and member of the State cabinet on the mission, said the culture of environmental responsibility must be imbibed by the residents across all communities in the state and reflect same in their lifestyle. DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PUBLISHES OFFICIAL CONTACT NUMBERS OF AREA COMMANDERS, DPOS AND TACTICAL COMMANDERS


In line with its strategic drive to deepen transparency, enhance accountability and strengthen public confidence in policing, the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, has approved the public release of the official contact phone numbers of all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and Tactical Commanders across the State.


The directive is intended to improve accessibility to police leadership at all operational levels and to facilitate prompt reporting of crimes, effective intelligence sharing and swift response to security concerns. It further underscores the Command’s commitment to citizen-centred policing and robust community partnership in the maintenance of law and order. The Command cautions that abuse of these lines, including prank calls or the dissemination of false information, as members of the public are enjoined to make responsible and constructive use of the published contact numbers strictly for security-related matters.


The Delta State Police Command reiterates its resolve to protect lives and property and to sustain a secure and peaceful environment through proactive engagement, professionalism and cooperation with the public.
