McDonald’s launches World Cup meal and collectible cups ahead of 2026 FIFA tournament kickoff McDonald’s is launching limited-time World Cup meals and collectibles ahead of the FIFA tournament kickoff on June 11, as excitement builds for the expanded 48-team competition co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The fast-food chain, returning as an official tournament sponsor, will roll out its World Cup-themed menu nationwide starting June 4. Customers can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, both served with a special gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce. As part of the promotion, McDonald’s is also releasing collectible cups featuring nine global soccer stars and cultural icons. The lineup includes Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the brand’s mascot Grimace.  Former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore to face arraignment

Former University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore is scheduled to make his first court appearance Friday in connection with assault allegations.

Moore, 39, has been in custody since his Wednesday arrest but has not yet been formally charged. Pittsfield Township police, near Ann Arbor, responded Wednesday afternoon to a call from a woman reporting that a man had been attacking her and had been stalking her for several months. Authorities indicated the incident does not appear to be random.

The University of Michigan announced Wednesday that Moore, a married father of three, was terminated with cause. The university stated that credible evidence showed Moore had engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. University President Domenico Grasso addressed the campus community, urging anyone with information about Moore’s behavior to come forward and emphasizing that such conduct would not be tolerated.

Moore had been in his second season as head coach, taking over from Jim Harbaugh, and compiled an 18-8 record, including 9-3 this season. The Wolverines are scheduled to face the Texas Longhorns in the Citrus Bowl, which will now be led by interim coach Biff Poggi.
