 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.  Former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore to face arraignment

Former University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore is scheduled to make his first court appearance Friday in connection with assault allegations.

Moore, 39, has been in custody since his Wednesday arrest but has not yet been formally charged. Pittsfield Township police, near Ann Arbor, responded Wednesday afternoon to a call from a woman reporting that a man had been attacking her and had been stalking her for several months. Authorities indicated the incident does not appear to be random.

The University of Michigan announced Wednesday that Moore, a married father of three, was terminated with cause. The university stated that credible evidence showed Moore had engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. University President Domenico Grasso addressed the campus community, urging anyone with information about Moore’s behavior to come forward and emphasizing that such conduct would not be tolerated.

Moore had been in his second season as head coach, taking over from Jim Harbaugh, and compiled an 18-8 record, including 9-3 this season. The Wolverines are scheduled to face the Texas Longhorns in the Citrus Bowl, which will now be led by interim coach Biff Poggi.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
