 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore to face arraignment

Former University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore is scheduled to make his first court appearance Friday in connection with assault allegations.

Moore, 39, has been in custody since his Wednesday arrest but has not yet been formally charged. Pittsfield Township police, near Ann Arbor, responded Wednesday afternoon to a call from a woman reporting that a man had been attacking her and had been stalking her for several months. Authorities indicated the incident does not appear to be random.

The University of Michigan announced Wednesday that Moore, a married father of three, was terminated with cause. The university stated that credible evidence showed Moore had engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. University President Domenico Grasso addressed the campus community, urging anyone with information about Moore’s behavior to come forward and emphasizing that such conduct would not be tolerated.

Moore had been in his second season as head coach, taking over from Jim Harbaugh, and compiled an 18-8 record, including 9-3 this season. The Wolverines are scheduled to face the Texas Longhorns in the Citrus Bowl, which will now be led by interim coach Biff Poggi.
