 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results.  PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE AKPABIO CALLS FOR PEACE AT INTER- PARLIAMENTARY UNION ASSEMBLY


President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio  at the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, called on parliaments across the world to step up as defenders of peace, justice, and humanity.


Speaking under the Assembly’s theme: Nurturing Hope, Securing Peace and Ensuring Justice for Future Generations, Akpabio warned that no region is immune to conflict, citing wars across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.


Drawing from Nigeria’s own struggles, he said peace is not inherited; it is built, defended, and sustained.


Akpabio challenged the IPU to strengthen global institutions like the United Nations and give vulnerable nations a stronger voice.

    

IPU President Tulia Ackson echoed the call, urging parliaments to provide moral clarity and decisive action against conflict and inequality.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
