Kaduna businessman drags ex fiancee’s father to court, demands dowry refund A businessman, Nasiru Dayyabu, on Wednesday, dragged the father of his ex-fiance, Mallam Sani Direba, to Shari’a Court II sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna over N260,000 dowry. The complainant had joined Direba in the suit against two brothers demanding a refund of N250, 000 dowry and N10,000 introduction money he paid to marry his daughter. Represented by his counsel, Mr Sani Sunusi, the complainant told the court that he sent his people from Karaye, Kano State to Kaduna in 2025, to seek for the defendant’s daughter’s hand in marriage. “We paid the dowry and the introduction money (kudin gausuwa) and were waiting for them to set a date for the wedding,” he said. “Unfortunately, the lady’s father called to inform us that they have cancelled the marriage.” The counsel said the complainant had asked for the refund of his money since Sept. 2025 but all the efforts he made proved abortive. Eric Trump unveils 'Donald J. Trump International Airport' logo as Palm Beach airport renaming moves forward

Eric Trump has unveiled a new official logo for Palm Beach International Airport, which is set to be renamed in honor of President Donald Trump. The design, which Eric Trump shared on social media, features a golden eagle holding a shield decorated with stars and stripes and olive branches. Beneath the emblem are the words “President Donald J. Trump International Airport,” along with 12 gold stars arranged across the logo.
In his post, Eric Trump said he was “extremely proud” to present the official branding and called the planned renaming a major honor for his father. He added that he looks forward to seeing flights arriving at what he referred to as “DJT” in the near future. The announcement comes as local officials approved both the logo and a trademark agreement tied to the airport’s renaming, which passed in a narrow vote and authorizes the use of the new name.
The renaming effort follows state legislation signed earlier this year directing the airport’s name change, with the measure set to take effect July 1. While the airport’s official designation will be updated, its three-letter aviation code will remain unchanged. Separate legislative efforts have also been introduced in Congress seeking to alter the airport code to reflect the new name, though those proposals have not advanced.
