Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves have teamed up with his 94-year-old mother, Kay “MaMac” McConaughey,Matthew McConaughey, his wife Camila Alves, and his mother Kay “MaMac” McConaughey have teamed up for a playful Mother’s Day campaign with their tequila brand, Pantalones Organic Tequila.
At 94, MaMac takes center stage as the “Most Interesting Mom in the World,” delivering her trademark wit and wisdom while showcasing her own cocktail creation, “MaMac’s Manhattan.”
Her twist on the classic drink blends Pantalones Organic Extra AƱejo Tequila with Averna Amaro and orange bitters, finished with an orange peel garnish.
In the campaign, MaMac reflects on motherhood as her greatest joy, proudly noting the success of her sons while recalling the lively household she raised. She jokes that surviving a home full of boys earned her the right to have a cocktail named after her.
Matthew has often shared how his mother’s humor and encouragement continue to shape him, even recalling that she praises every one of his films by saying, “I see where you get it from.”
His son Levi confirmed that her signature line has now become a family tradition.
The collaboration also ties into their recent film project, The Lost Bus, where Matthew, Levi, and Kay all appeared together.
The survival thriller, based on the deadly 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, California, marked Levi’s acting debut and Kay’s return to the screen after more than a decade.
With the tequila campaign, the McConaughey family blends their love of storytelling, humor, and tradition, celebrating both family bonds and MaMac’s enduring spirit.
