Terrifying new dashcam footage shows moment doomed NBC helicopter falls out of the sky The terrifying moment an NBC helicopter fell out of the sky and plunged into the ground near where an SUV had slammed into a Metro bus was caught on dashcam. The video, obtained by KTLA, shows the helicopter descending, caught from afar on the vehicle camera of Yera Valencia. She said: “I downloaded the video of my dashcam. It’s a little dot on the video. It’s a crisp video and it just goes down.” She added: “God, it’s so close, it could have happened to anyone. My parents walk down the street.” The two back-to-back Tuesday night crashes resulted in five deaths — two involving the bus and SUV, and three as a result of the chopper going down, killing reporter Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw and pedestrian Edy Gutierrez Mejia.

MINISTER OF EDUCATION ALAUSA UNVEILS AUTISM CARE INITIATIVE

Nigeria's shortage of specialists in autism care, coupled with the growing number of families seeking diagnosis and therapy abroad, has prompted the Federal Ministry of Education to introduce reforms aimed at strengthening services for children with Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other developmental conditions.

Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, says the reforms focus on expanding the country's specialist workforce by increasing the number of universities offering programmes in Audiology, Speech and Language Therapy, and Occupational Therapy from about four to almost sixteen, with plans to extend the programmes to more institutions.

Beginning next year, the Federal Government will provide targeted support to universities offering the specialised programmes through improved infrastructure, modern equipment, and instructional materials.

The Ministry has also directed the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to fast-track the accreditation of the Federal School of Occupational Therapy and the Occupational Therapy diploma programme at the University of Benin to strengthen professional training and career progression.

Dr. Alausa also announced that from 2027, the Federal Government will establish Autism Centres in each of the six geopolitical zones to provide diagnosis, therapy, and research services.
