Terrifying new dashcam footage shows moment doomed NBC helicopter falls out of the sky The terrifying moment an NBC helicopter fell out of the sky and plunged into the ground near where an SUV had slammed into a Metro bus was caught on dashcam. The video, obtained by KTLA, shows the helicopter descending, caught from afar on the vehicle camera of Yera Valencia. She said: “I downloaded the video of my dashcam. It’s a little dot on the video. It’s a crisp video and it just goes down.” She added: “God, it’s so close, it could have happened to anyone. My parents walk down the street.” The two back-to-back Tuesday night crashes resulted in five deaths — two involving the bus and SUV, and three as a result of the chopper going down, killing reporter Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw and pedestrian Edy Gutierrez Mejia.

 Shaquille O’Neal’s strange excuse for why he ‘lost a family’ raises eyebrows


Shaquille O’Neal has been open about the personal cost of his basketball career, admitting that his family life suffered as he pursued greatness. In a 2022 interview on The Pivot podcast, the Los Angeles Lakers legend described the loneliness he felt after his divorce, recalling nights spent alone in his massive home with no children around. 


More recently, in a conversation with his son Shareef on Netflix’s Post Moves, O’Neal warned that professional success requires sacrifice, confessing, “I’ve lost a family trying to be great.”


That statement sparked debate among fans, many of whom questioned whether Shaq was framing his pursuit of excellence as an excuse for the breakdown of his marriage. 


The comment seemed to contrast with earlier moments when he accepted responsibility for his mistakes, acknowledging that his ego and choices had played a major role in the collapse of his relationship. 


His divorce from Shaunie Henderson, finalized in 2011 after nine years of marriage, was marked by his own admission that he failed to protect her and honor their vows.


Despite the contradictions in his reflections, one thing remains clear: O’Neal carries deep regret about his family situation. While he continues to spend time with his children, sometimes in front of the cameras, his words reveal the lasting impact of decisions made during his career. 


For Shaq, the balance between greatness on the court and stability at home has been elusive, leaving him with both a celebrated legacy and a personal story marked by loss.
