 MOTHER, 14-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER DIE IN ANAMBRA BUILDING COLLAPSE By Chinyere Nwoye  A three-storey building under construction has collapsed at Okpoko in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, killing a woman and her 14-year-old daughter. The incident occurred on Thursday morning, October 8, at No. 11 Emeka Ugwuanyi Street, by Anabanaba, Okpoko, amid heavy rainfall. The collapsed structure reportedly fell on a boys’ quarters located close to the building, trapping occupants who were inside at the time of the incident. The victims were identified as Mrs Happiness Ugoagu and her 14-year-old daughter, Miss Confidence, both indigenes of Uga in Aguata Local Government Area.  They were reportedly asleep when the building collapsed on the boys’ quarters. Following the incident, residents, sympathisers and emergency responders immediately mobilised to the scene in an effort to rescue the trapped persons and clear the debris.                The pictures above,shows a 13 year old girl in pains after she was bitten by an a snake.The snake venom caused severe necrosis,the premature death of cells.This caused the tissue in her leg to die,leaving it to withered and rotten.The 13 year old girl who is unidentified,was first treated by remedies from the indigenous culture she was from.A month later she was eventually brought to Carcaras,Venezuela,for medical treatment.One of the doctors said the girls leg will be amputated but she will still likely die from the snake venom.One more picture below.                                                                                                               ...

               In an official emailed statement by Julius Berger construction company,they said ''One expatriate ,a sub contractor to Julius Berger,was shot and has subsequently died.The other expatriate,a staff of Julius Berger,has been abducted.Julius Berger is currently working in close co-operation with the Nigerian authorities to make certain the safe and prompt release of the person abducted and belives this to be an isolated criminal incident''.According to a Senior Security source,he said ''One car was stopped by the gunmen shooting,and when the driver of the other car saw what had happened he attempted to turn around but the attackers also opened fire on that vehicle,killing the German citizen''.The incident occured on friday,and the Germans who were working with Julius Berger,were traveling without their security escorts.One more photo below.                           ...
