BAUCHI STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE FOUR SUSPECTS ARRESTED OVER FARMER-HERDER CLASH IN NINGI LGA THAT CLAIMED ONE LIFE Following the unfortunate farmer-herder clash at Guda Village in Ningi Local Government Area, the Command wishes to inform the public that four suspects have now been arrested in connection with the incident. On 23rd September, 2026 at about 0740hrs, three farmers from Guda Village went to their farms on Guda Hill and found cattle belonging to a herder grazing on and destroying their crops. They chased the cattle to the herders' settlement where an argument ensued and degenerated into a fight. In the process, the three farmers sustained injuries. Sadly, in retaliation, some youths from Guda Village mobilized and set ablaze houses at the herders settlement. Operatives from Ningi Division responded promptly, restored normalcy and evacuated the injured to General Hospital Ningi. 24th October,2021      Tears of joy flowed freely as 16-year-old Joy Abahi Amuh of St. Paul Secondary School, Otukpo Benue State, was handed the cash prize of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000) for emerging the Best Graduating Student (of Benue State origin) in the 2020 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) organised by West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC). The award ceremony which held in Makurdi the Benue State capital was part of the 6th Annual Literacy Project organised by a Non-Governmental Organisation, Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF) in partnership with Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC). SlayQueen has landed herself in prison.. This lady met a man on Facebook. They chatted and agreed to meet in a hotel. They met and she was paid. Unknown to the man, she videoed him. She then used the video to blackmail him asking for N15 million. He refused. She then spread the video on Facebook. He reported to the DSS, they arrested and charged her to court.  Her bail alone is N5 million plus landed property. This happened in Yenagoa. Arrests another fake soldier with drugs; woman who attempted to smuggle skunk hidden in wraps of akpu into Agencys cell for suspect in custody Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have intercepted over 2,060 kilograms of assorted drugs including heroin, methamphetamine, cannabis, tramadol and rohypnol in operations at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos as well as Ondo, Edo, Kano, Kaduna, Plateau and some courier companies. Two consignments of heroin weighing 4.40kg and 550grams were intercepted on October 6 and 15 respectively at the cargo shed of the MMIA, Ikeja. The first was seized at the SAHCO import shed of the airport when it was discovered inside bags of granulated sugar and flour from Johannesburg, South Africa via Addis Ababa to Lagos on an Ethiopian Airlines flight.
