The situation caused Angela to suffer from a couple of mental breakdowns during her TikTok live streams. She also breached her NDA with TLC and revealed much information about her storyline with Michael during her live rants and on John Yates and Auntie's advice platforms. Tears of joy flowed freely as 16-year-old Joy Abahi Amuh of St. Paul Secondary School, Otukpo Benue State, was handed the cash prize of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000) for emerging the Best Graduating Student (of Benue State origin) in the 2020 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) organised by West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC).


The award ceremony which held in Makurdi the Benue State capital was part of the 6th Annual Literacy Project organised by a Non-Governmental Organisation, Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF) in partnership with Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC).


Presenting the award, Group Managing Director of BIPC, Barr. Alex Adum, who pointed out that the award was purely out of merit, noted that it would aid her educational pursuit temporarily truncated by lack of fund.


Barr. Adum who stressed the need to handsomely reward sterling academic feats instead of the overt focus on persons in the

entertainment industry alone, called on stakeholders to commit more resources to reward outstanding academic performances.


First Lady of Benue State and Founder of ESLF, Eunice Ortom, congratulated the awardee and urged other girls to emulate her remarkable achievement.


Receiving the award, Joy expressed joy and profound gratitude to BIPC and ESLF for their kind gesture which, she said would help nurture her dream to reality.


Principal of St. Paul Secondary School, Mr. Peter Emaikwu and Mr. Emmanuel Ekoja, who tutored, mentored and motivated Joy academically confirmed that she was a hardworking, dedicated and focused student and described her award as deserving.


Joy Abahi Amuh was born on 23rd October, 2004 in Igaluwa, Ugboju District of Otukpo Local Government Area, Benue State and attended RCM Primary School, Ipom-Ugboju and St. Paul Secondary School Otukpo. Her ambition is to study Mass Communication and become a television broadcaster.


Although she graduated with an excellent WAEC result, Joy was unable to register for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for lack of fund.


Currently the 16-year-old teaches at a nursery and primary school at Otukpo where she had tried to save money to pursue her studies.
