Kinmundy, Illinois has issued an official curfew of 8 P.M. for all residents age 16-years-old and under. This curfew is in place due to several months of escalating vandalism.  The City of Kinmundy stated that it is minors that are responsible for the vandalism. If any resident 16 years of age or under is caught out after curfew, without a parent or guardian, they will receive a citation. They will be required to do community service work the following Saturday for 4 hours.  Parents will be required to supervise their children during the community service work.  I was born and raised in Kinmundy. We have never had an amount of crime that required a curfew. I'm shocked at these current events but I do hope this curfew will curb the vandalism. Kinmundy is a wonderful small town.   Kinmundy has faced two incredibly heartbreaking losses very recently within the community. I know residents do not need this stress and I do hope this situation sorts itself out so...

On Wednesday, June 11th, residents of Alexander (in Saline County), Arkansas were shocked and heartbroken when learning about the passing of 15-year-old Makayla Fortner.  Makayla and her mother had noticed 30 to 40 dogs on White Oak Drive in an extreme state of neglect. The mother and daughter felt they could not passively sit by and leave the dogs to their inevitable fate. This had been an ongoing problem for months with multiple citizens reporting the condition of the dogs to Saline County Officials.  However, their cries fell on deaf ears; with officials telling every person that reported the obvious neglect, "their hands were tied and nothing could be done about the situation". In fact, the situation was so bad that community members didn't want their children walking alone to the bus due to the fact they had to walk by t...

Speaking to journalists in Lagos during an event where United Nigeria Airlines announced its integration into the SIBAS Global Distribution System, AON spokesperson Professor Obiora Okonkwo expressed dismay at Oshiomhole’s actions. “No amount of disappointment justifies self-help. What we saw was a typical case of unruly behavior,” Okonkwo stated, emphasizing that Air Peace, which carries 40 to 50 percent of Nigeria’s domestic passengers, deserves respect as a significant industry player. “It is not right to demonize the airline. There’s no logic...
