 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. To ease parking challenges, designated car parks have been arranged for public use, these include; the Yoruba Lawn Tennis Club Car Park, Zone 2 Car Park (opposite Island Club along King George V Road), Museum Kit...

'Secret': Jasvir Ram Ginday, 30, told Wolverhampton Crown Court he knew he was gay when he was 12 but married Varkha Rami, 24, to make his parents happy           30 years old Jasvir Ram Ginday is accused of murdering Varkha Rami on September 12 last year following a lavish wedding ceremony in India .The newly weds were cleaning their family home when Ginday discovered Varkha packing her bags after he fetched her a vacuum cleaner.The wife ,told him she new he was gay and could not stay any longer,prompting him to push the pipe against her throat with moderate force.Ginday told the jury he knew he was gay from the age of 12 but felt unable to tell his parents the truth because they would be shocked and devastated.Having never been in a heterosexual relationship before,he traveled to India in October 2012 and met 15 potential wives,before asking 24 years old Varkha to marry him on March 28.Ginday denies the charge of murder by pleading guilty to on manslaughter and also a further charge of perverting the course of Justice by lying to the police.                                                           Police found the charred remains of Varkha Rami the day after Ginday reported her missingGinday told Wolverhampton Crown Court he was 'devastated' by her death and pleaded guilty to manslaughter
