  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. 28 ILLEGAL HOSPITAL SHUT DOWN IN LAGOS STATE.

                         According to sources,not only the 28 hospital that was shout down but 319 illegal pharmacies across the state for not meeting with the standard set by the government.The government also disclosed that 9,498 pupils in Lagos public primary schools have visual impairment after tests carried out on them.According to the Commissioner for Health Dr Jide Idris said today at Alausa that ''The Lagos Health Facility HEFAMAA,in the last one year renewed the registration of 1,089 private health facilities and monitored 1,182 health facilities,of which 114 of these facilities were found wanting and served closure notices.28 hospitals were closed for various offences such as the use of auxiliary nurses,poor environment,among others in order to save as deterrent to others.The 317 substandard pharmacies,breached the health standard rule''.
